Jaws, Claws, Stings 'n' Things!

Let's face it we might think that sweet little bunnies are cute and cuddly but when it comes down to it it's the big, the fast and the ferocious which really excite us. Crushing jaws, slashing claws, poisonous stings and all the creatures that have the potential to harm us . . . or even eat us, are the things that interest us from six to 60.

This talk spans a great range of animals, from Eagles and elephant seals to polar bears and rattlesnakes. Chris explains how and why these species can be dangerous and recounts first hand his experiences and scrapes with the world's most dangerous animals. But he is definitely no Crocodile Hunter as he firmly believes that all these creatures, bar one, have little active intention of harming human beings. If they are threatened or in extraordinary circumstances they might. But the animals are the champions here, and their amazing adaptations and fascinating evolution are the stories which excite him most.

En route to the ultimate encounter with the world's last great super predator Chris explains what to do if you are charged by a rhinoceros, or a buffalo and what not to do if a lion opens its mouth between your legs! Its good family fun . . . and not too many people have nightmares.
