Health and safety
Our stewards will be wearing high vis jackets and are available for any assistance needed on the day.
Please bring suitable clothing for the weather and comfortable footwear as you will be on your feet for a few hours. Make sure you have water and adequate refreshments. Drinking water is also available from the park’s water fountains and there are several catering kiosks in Hyde Park. Our stewards will be able to direct you to them.
The public toilets will be open and free of charge for the duration of the gathering for the march. The closest toilets are 20m from Reformers Tree and a steward will be able to direct you.
There will be first aiders present at the gathering and on the march so please let a steward know if you see an incident so help can be organised immediately.
Whilst walking please be aware that we need to stay together in order for the police to manage the traffic and road closures for everybody’s safety.
Filming and Photography
Please note that photographs and footage will be taken throughout The Peoples Walk for Wildlife. Footage will be live streamed during the gathering for the march on to big screens in the park and after the gathering for a short summary documentary of the day which will be broadcast on Youtube and Lush TV Player. Photographs may be used on our website and in social media.
Placards and banners
The Peoples Walk for Wildlife is a peaceful protest for our wildlife. Please make your banners and placards a celebration of our wildlife, a creative demonstration of your love for wildlife. Please be considerate of Hyde Park’s policy and do not use placards and banners until out of the park and on the march.
You can download birdsong here onto your mobile device before the day and we can play their songs together whilst we walk, and fill the streets with their voices.
Loss of or damage to your personal belongings is your responsibility and not the organisers or Hyde Parks so please look after your possessions. If you do lose an item and it is handed in, the lost property office can be contacted on 0300 061 2000 during office hours.
If you find a lost item please report it to one of our stewards.
We will be leaving the park via Queen Elizabeth Gate, Hyde Park Corner. Stewards will be available for any assistance and guidance. The route passes along some of the busiest streets in London so please be aware of and considerate of other people using the pavements. Double click the image to expand.
